We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
What data we collect and why
We collect personal data in only one way — through the contact form on our website. When you submit the form, we receive:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your company name (optional)
- The service area you selected
- Your message
We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not share it with third parties beyond what is described below.
The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
How your data is processed
Contact form submissions are processed by Formspree, Inc., a third-party form processing service. Formspree transmits form data to our email inbox and stores a copy on their servers.
Formspree is GDPR compliant and their servers are located in the United States. Data transfers outside the EEA are covered by standard contractual clauses. You can read their privacy policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking or advertising technologies on this website.
Cookies
This website uses only functional cookies — small files necessary for the website to work properly. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or analytics cookies.
Formspree may set a session cookie when you submit the contact form. This cookie is strictly functional and does not track you across other websites.
Because we only use functional cookies, we are not required to obtain your consent before setting them under Norwegian ePrivacy regulations.
How long we keep your data
We retain contact form enquiries in our email inbox for as long as is necessary to respond to and follow up on the enquiry, and for up to 12 months after the last communication. Formspree retains form submissions for 30 days on their free plan.
If we enter into a business relationship following your enquiry, relevant communications will be retained for the duration of that relationship and for any period required by applicable law.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — you can ask us what data we hold about you
- Correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Deletion — you can ask us to delete your data
- Restriction — you can ask us to restrict how we use your data
- Portability — you can ask for your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — you can object to our processing of your data
To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@buffersoft.no. We will respond within 30 days.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes we will note them clearly.
